Abstract: We show a relation between K-stability of certain hypersurfaces and K-stability of hypersurfaces of lower dimensions. The result provides some evidence toward a conjecture concerning the equivalence between K-moduli spaces and GIT moduli spaces of cubic hypersurfaces. We also note that similar phenomena are expected for other properties of hypersurfaces. Part of the talk is based on joint work with Yuchen Liu.
