Abstract: To study the rational points on algebraic varieties over number field, local-global principle is a basic tool, and weak approximation studies the density of its rational points in its local points. Colliot-Thélène conjectured that weak approximation with cohomological obstruction holds for all rational connected varieties. In this talk, I will give a survey about this conjecture for the homogeneous space case, and its application to the inverse Galois problem.
